I did not realize that. I am running W10 on two different laptops and have not had an issue with it. I am running chrome both. I did notice a push for OneDrive. I just installed my google drive instead. It is much better.

No they should not, but an OS might operate better with the venders software.

SSgt Alex Robinson Well 'block' is something of a misnomer in this case. It's not blocking, it's merely 'strongly suggesting' that a user doesn't switch. Aggressive, yes, in-you-face, yes. But it's not 'blocking'.

Having said that, if Win 10 DID block chrome I'd go back to Win 7.

They have the right to do anything they want to do with their software; however, the market will punish them for being that stupid.

It's their OS, so they can do what they want. However, they're not "blocking" Chrome and Firefox (both of which I use), so that's misleading (not your fault, but the article's).

Microsoft got its virtual ass spanked when they had to separate Internet Explorer from the Windows OS a few years ago. They've been reluctant to accept the fact that other people can write better and less complicated and less buggy software than they can ever since.

It's proprietary and paid software. They have that right. I simply suggest everyone refuse it. . . .because Linux.
