Should private citizens build private Armies to fight ISIS?

During the Civil War, private citizens built and funded armies to fight. Since our elected officials are too busy in partisan fights maybe private armies can more easily resolve the problem.

Teddy Roosevelt's rough riders were private militia as well.

I'd go in a second. Sure, I'm a terminal private, but that still puts me head and shoulders above anything they have.

IMHO, if there's a need for an "irregular" militia, then it would be stateside in the event of an attack on the American people.

This is definitely an interesting thought Sir.
I just wonder how many private citizens would invest in such a venture. It is definitely not cheap. it would also be extremely hard to maintain.

Of course is that nor what Blackwater and several other contracting companies are? Then Companies like Blackwater get punished for certain things.

You are absolutely correct about the Officials in DC. They are also focusing their attention on the wrong topics.
