CPT Jeff Robinette 4015005

I read in Military Times that the Army is considering going back to the "Pink and Greens" of WWII.
I was commissioned in 1979. The Dress Greens with a long sleeve Khaki looking shirt. Before I went to Germany the Green shirt had replaces the Khaki Shirt. Now we have soldiers wearing Berets
I fully understand the lineage and history of the Dress Blues. But I have to admit that the first time I saw that uniform worn in public I though I was looking at a Bus Driver. At a distance of about 50 yards I saw a Soldier wearing the Dress Blues Slacks with a white Long Sleeve Shirt and Shoulder Boards. When ingot closer saw that he was a LTC. Should the Army change their uniform yet again? 2018-10-03T06:43:19-04:00 CPT Jeff Robinette 4015005

I read in Military Times that the Army is considering going back to the "Pink and Greens" of WWII.
I was commissioned in 1979. I think create warriors building the warrior ethos up skills and attitude -- the swagger will follow that. If they are ready to make this change then TRY to ensure it is across the board. Also let AC Soldiers keep their clothing allowance the year of issue. They will need it to finish buying the rest of their duty uniforms, pts clothes and accessory for their new uniforms. This might (I'm an optimist) stop the Army from changing the uniform so often. I was in for 29 yrs and wore the same three uniform versions for 26 of those years...this should be normal.
