The more I read about this battle and the ISIS phenomenon, the more I see it as a Sunni/Shiite issue. It's hard for us to take sides because nobody wins when we do that. ISIS is evil, there's no doubt about that. They're Sunnis. And Iran does not have any good will (at all) for the USA (they're Shiites). We are in a can't win situation when it comes to that fight. Maybe we should step back and watch the two sides duke it out. That's at least an option. Yes I believe that the two factions of Islam need to put aside their difference but that will not happen. I like the option of just letting them duke it out amongst themselves. Deploy troops around Iraq and Iran for security measures and let them fight it to the death and then once that happens try to rebuild the countries.
