I was also trained in various forms of explosives and mines being a Combat Engineer at PDS. There were other weapon system we did &quot;familiarization&quot; training with in Germany just to shoot them. I cant remember the nomenclature though. A lot of them were from foreign armies. Then in AIT, M16A2. Permanent station I was the AG for the M-60, then took over as gunner later; I also qualified with M2 just before we deployed. <br />In the reserves I qualified with the M-9 and again with the M-60. They took away my M-60 and replaced it with the MK-19. <br />I always wanted to qual with the 1911 (CO and First Sergeant carried them) and the .38 (tankers) but it wasn't in my lane. They were instructed in and provided demonstrations (and specific volunteers executed) AT-4 Live, Claymore mines, thermite grenades, 60 MM Mortars, 81MM mortars, 155MM Howitzers, I realized partway through I had exceeded small arms, but this is still all at TBS so all of us got it, also, you mentioned MGs in the OP so I guess I'm not too far off your topic. There was more at Infantry Officer's Course and Scout Sniper Platoon Commander's Course, but you asked us to leave out MOS specifics.
