Obviously there are some major issues in the world that must be addressed, but I feel like we are missing great opportunities to partner and include our Asian allies. As the headline implies, we aren't doing this too well it seems.

Don't Forget Asia: Walking and Chewing Gum in Foreign Policy - War on the Rocks

The Obama administration’s first-term grand pivot to Asia is now a distant memory as the president struggles to contain a newly aggressive Russia in Easter

So... what ever happened to the Pacific Pivot? 2014-10-01T12:25:01-04:00 CPT Private RallyPoint Member 261056

With our military focus primarily on degrading and defeating ISIS/ISIL, along with combating Ebola and supporting European NATO allies worried about Russia, what ever happened to our Pacific Pivot strategy? It's a slow process - especially considering the large area covered. I'm sure there has been some shift in assets, but that goes with the ebb and flow of our worldwide reach.

I'm comfortable that we are continuing the Pacific Pivot efforts......just not in the news. Boring is never in the news. Response by PO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 1 at 2014 12:55 PM 2014-10-01T12:55:26-04:00 2014-10-01T12:55:26-04:00 2014-10-01T12:25:01-04:00
