We were just curious though if anyone knew roughly how long it takes to hear something.  Thanks :)  Spouses getting stationed together? 2013-11-14T21:59:15-05:00 SSgt Private RallyPoint Member 6418 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My husband and I just got married in August. I would say to make sure and read the Air Force regs very thoroughly. Also, follow up with you assignments officer or personnel folks, I'm not sure how the USAF does it. I was Army and then Marine Corps and was married to a Navy Nurse. During the my Army time she was in College so not an Issue. When I joined the Marines she was already an Officer in the Navy and both services work with us to be stationed as close to each other as possible. The only times we had not been stationed on the same base was when her or I was in some sort of training mode. While stationed at Camp Pendleton I was in a Helicopter MAG and she was normally at the Base Hospital and sometimes detailed to a Branch clinic as she was a nurse practitioner. When I received oerders to Okinawa there was a slight delay for her orders but within 3 months she came to Okinawa and was stationed at Lester Naval Hospital, on return to Conus I gt Stationed at MCAS Yuma AZ and She was transfered to the Branch Med Clinic and for a short Time at Balboa Hosp in San Diego We was lucky for the 17 years we did this! The children moved with the most stable person for example when going to Okinawa they stayed the extra months with her in Camp Pendleton and upon my return back to the States the kids moved with me, there was never more than a 2 or 3 month span of separartion except when we had our Separate deployments and that was for the most part me! The military treated us pretty well as far as being station on the same bases except for that last part of our marriage when she was a couple hundred miles away in San Diego!!
