PO3 German Corea5022565<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>When I was onboard the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), we had a division officer who loved the NY Yankees and because of that, when ever there was a game, would determine our working hours. When the Yankees would win we would get off early but when they would lose we would stay long hours. Was that legal what that DivO did, keeping us because of a baseball game?Stayed long hours because of a baseball game?2019-09-14T10:11:29-04:00PO3 German Corea5022565<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>When I was onboard the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), we had a division officer who loved the NY Yankees and because of that, when ever there was a game, would determine our working hours. I don't see this as a legal question but more along the lines of ethics. If he's keeping late because he's pissy about the yanks losing, then maybe it's questionable.Response by SFC Marc W. made Sep 14 at 2019 10:23 AM2019-09-14T10:23:41-04:002019-09-14T10:23:41-04:00CWO3 Private RallyPoint Member5023118<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Best to root for the Yankees then.Response by CWO3 Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 14 at 2019 1:21 PM2019-09-14T13:21:40-04:002019-09-14T13:21:40-04:00Maj John Bell5023711<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Is it legal...? Yes. Is it good leadership...? No. <br /><br />One of my major bitches with some young officers is that they can't give up their fraternity days, and they don't realize subordinates are not pledges/plebes.Response by Maj John Bell made Sep 14 at 2019 6:17 PM2019-09-14T18:17:26-04:002019-09-14T18:17:26-04:00CPL Gary Pifer5024322<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Funny story...worthy of re-telling.
