I am terrible at the math and mechanical comprehension though and could use some work with the hidden objects section as well. Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to get better at those areas or just any advice over the sift test in general?

Merry Christmas all and thanks in advance for any help. I'm no math wiz by any measure and I still scored a 64 or 65. The math questions escalate very quickly as it's an adaptive test. I didn't study much for it either. Brush up on a little math bit don't get fixated on it. Pretty small portion compared to everything else. Brush up on some grammar. For example proper use of colons and semi-colons. The majority of the test is kind of logic and comprehension based. Aircraft attitude comprehension. A few theory of flight questions I didn't really know then. Things like aerodynamic cause of settling with power, retreating blade stall, angle if attack, none if which I really knew so again, not a huge deal, but would be a bonus. I don't have me pubs with me right now but I'll give you a few more specific topics from the are pub fundamentals of the theory of flight. Again, I still wouldn't stress over it took much, but it probably wouldn't hurt to have a look. If you've ever taken that "IMPACT" test that measures your responsiveness and reaction time, a lot is similar to that. You'll be fine man. It's meant not to be studied for. Even now it's still being analyzed. I agreed to allow then to use my data through flight school for the purpose of analyzing the results of the SIFT, along with many other classmates. I'm about done with the Common Core portion of flight school and I took the SIFT summer if 2013, so you can imagine how progression is going with the studies. That also means that the results are still VERY general, and this they don't weigh quite as much as the AFAST used to in the board. Good luck to you brother. Feel free to but me up with any questions. I'm pretty honest if I don't fully know something, so I won't throw a bunch of guesses at you. Enjoy your Christmas, stop stressing the SIFT. Sorry about typos, phone keyboard is being awkward lately. My advice to you is to go to this link http://www.nelnetsolutions.com/dod/DODHubPage.aspx?sponsor=12894&HubPage=15149
It is an online practice test for the SIFT. As I have taken it I started to realize its just an all around military flight test. it contains questions pertaining to the AFAST and other branch flight tests. I still find the information to be very helpful. I take the SIFT the first week of March and I have been stressing about it all month. I am reading the FAA helicopter handbook and it has proven very helpful. If you have need a brush up on your math and physics go to khanacademy.com that website teaches you everything and breaks it down. Another option is to go to FAST class. Its primary function is to brush up your math and English skills to enhance your GT score. The SIFT is from what I hear challenging but not a test meant to be studied for. I will post what I scored in the next couple weeks. I hope my advice has been helpful.

500 Error

We're sorry, there was an error in processing your request.
