Also try the utility companies, they can temporarily drop your rate. I am doing this as we speak as I'm in a similar situation at the moment<br /><br />You will need to have a letter from your former employer stating you were laid off but in good standing with the company - you weren't laid of because you did something wrong or weren't making it at the job. Also state that you are now under-employed, as you say - working at a job not commensurate with your degree. Its all worth a shot.
