The Army 2+2+2+1 Tiered Unit Conept

Due to budget priorities, the Army has elected to fund only a select number of Brigades at the top tier of funding priority. These Brigades look like this:

2x Armored

2x Infantry

2x Stryker

1x Combat/Combined Air Brigade

(2+2+2+1)

What effect do you think this will have on the overall capability of the nation to exercise global influence militarily? How will this affect the 2+2+2+1 units and Soldiers? How will this affect the OTHER Brigades? Is this a sustainable force structure?

This is where I've seen this in the mainstream news. And I can't find a lot outside of that right now. But there is much discussion about it within our unit - a Stryker Brigade - because there just aren't that many Stryker Brigades around, so the odds of being in that group are high for us.
