This bill directs the Secretaries of the military departments,  to make information on civilian credentialing opportunities available to members of the Armed Forces beginning with their MOS  and to permit members to:
(1) evaluate the extent to which such training correlates with skills and training required for various civilian certifications and licenses, and
(2) assess the suitability of such training for obtaining and pursuing such certifications and licenses.

Good information!! Earlier this week, I participated in a conference call with the other senior enlisted leaders for our region. One of the topics brought up by the two stars CMC was about this subject. The Coast Guard apparently has done very little to support this process voluntarily but it has become a high priority as force reduction measures are going to require service members to leave the military and seek new employment. Keeping track of your service's efforts and this legislation is going to be a good idea on the next several years as the military draws down.
