I've never really thought about that. In my opinion, if you have found the right one in your eyes, it shouldn't matter what either of you bring to the table in material possessions or in monetary value. With that being said, I believe starting your marriage off with a pre-nup is ultimately undermining the trust and overall aspect of marriage. I understand the role of a pre-nup but I don't agree with it. I firmly believe that once divorce becomes an acceptable option, the liklihood of it happening skyrockets.

Currently living the devestating impacts of divorce, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I can't endorse anything that makes it seem like a more palatable option. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 06 Jul 2015 08:43:34 -0400 2015-07-06T08:43:34-04:00 Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 6 at 2015 9:16 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/true-or-false-prenuptial-agreements-make-families-stronger?n=794379&urlhash=794379

Doesn't make families stronger, but it sure helps if it was ever to fall apart.

Even if you don't earn much now. Too many people get married with the intent to make it work, but divorce has become so easy, some just give up and expect the law to split assets not earned. I've seen several couples separate after only a few years and one spouse still expects half. The old laws on the books meant to protect the stay at home mom need to be revisited now that women are overwhelmingly working.
