US Helicopter shot down at Texas Border! Are we too vulnerable?

A US helicopter with the Customs and Border Enforcement took gun fire and was forced to land near the river banks of Laredo, Texas. This is something that is pretty brazen. I know agents carry firearms but I don't know of any helicopters carrying any weapon system. May Jade Helm was preparing for something that we weren't thinking about.

When a U.S. Soldiers life is at risk or a law enforcement officers life is at risk is about time this government grow a pair and start pushing back. I'm so tired of "political correctness" bullshit! Our side/Mexican side of the border, I'll bet my year's salary that the helicopter was shot down by members of a smuggling ring or drug cartel.

I think most of us have seen this bubbling up for years. We have ignored our southern border as a national security issue for years. We have read stories about the people coming in, the violence on the border and the risk to us for decades. Politicians have fiddled while Rome burns (Rome being the border).

We have taken fire from the other side of the border before. This is a new precedent that will be ignored. We know the violence that is occurring just south of our border (murder, torture, beheadings etc) and we think it will not come here at some point?

Can we not use headline baiting please? "Forced to land" is far from being "shot down." Is hate to see RP turn down the road of some of these far left/right wing blog/news sites that bait readers into reading a story that's misleading.
