They should be able to help, it's where I filed all mine. You can also try your local American Legion, even if you're not affiliated. If you do then ask them what to do next and IF you still have enough time to file an appeal or notice of disagreement. Let them help you file the paperwork. Go to a VSO not the regional office. They will not help. Like the other posts said DAV, AMVETS, American Legion. If they don't and you still know you can challenge the denial make sure you know where they made the mistake whenever you challenge them and stick to your guns. Finding a Doc. that will help you with your case and give you documentation is your best friend whenever your challenging the VA. Good Luck! You have an established time line for the appeal. It will tell you what it is in your Statement of Claim (SOC). The SOC also tells you why it was denied.

You need to make sure you don’t go over the timeline and that you can show why you meet the denial criteria. You should use a Veterans Service Office (VSO) to help you. It may take a bit to find one so start now! DAV, American Legion etc. There are also many sites on the internet to help you with what the steps in claim processing are. One of the best I’d the Veterans Benefirs Network. Good luck!
