Vets helping Vets with employment https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/vets-helping-vets-with-employment

I wanted to share this note I received this morning from a veteran. I'd like to remind us all this is why we work so hard to hire veterans, whether it's our company or yours, we must continue to do it for them and their families. He is now a DVOP helping veterans get jobs.

Good morning, I just want to express my gratitude to C.R. England and everything the company does for veterans. In 1996 I was released from the Army after 12 ½ years due to what is call "undeployable" in other words after over a decade my body was too damaged to remain in the service. I did not have any idea how I was going to take care of my family at the time. My wife was from Sunset, Utah and I am from Las Vegas. She wanted to be closer to her family in Utah. I contacted over a dozen trucking companies back then and was repeatedly denied until I applied at England. Long and short was that I was now able to support my family and earn a decent income. I got my start there and I am ever grateful without the program your company offers. I don’t know what would have happened to me and my family. Tell the England family thank you from me. Mr. R. He helped foster a program that connecting employers and advisors with seperating members in an effort to have employment continuity. This seemed turned into a concerted military wide effort to help veterans seek employment that meshed with their experience and needs. I took advantage of some of the small business advice and the GI bill. E-benefits.va.gov has an extensive array of help for veterans right now joining is a simple phone call away. Sgt Daniel V. CareerSource Tampa Bay and CareerSource Pinellas offers my program, which is the Military Transitioning Employment Program (MTEP) and the hardest part I have is dealing with the veterans. I have employers that want to hire veterans, but getting veterans to answer phone calls and e-mails is difficult. Another issue is that everyone wants to make 70-80k a year with little experience in the field they want to work in. I have tons of stories and lots of advice to help if anyone is there to listen. If you are in the Tampa Bay area and looking for employment look me up on our website: http://www.careersourcetampabay.com

Home—CareerSource Tampa Bay

Your description

SFC Mario Rodriquez Mon, 16 Mar 2015 08:41:40 -0400 2015-03-16T08:41:40-04:00 2015-03-13T14:49:13-04:00
