It is a great program that has been in place for nearly 5 years. It is designed to be a RESET program for Soldiers to partake in activities instead of destructive behaviors. Most bases have a WAQ program, and the activities available will vary from area to area.

Some of the activities I know of are rock climbing, white water rafting, paintball, zip line, mountain biking, skiing, and scuba. There are others but Don't remember off top of my head.

The program is designed for a platoon of Soldiers to participate in the activities, and are led by trained NCOs. Everyone high and low in the unit had a blast. I wouldn't say we had team building in mind, but it was a great way for some of the leaders to see how different people used their leadership skills. It showed who was willing to take orders, and who was able to give clear cut orders to help their team win. Jumiors vs Leaders in anything is always a plus as well. A bunch of us in my unit took the opportunity to go paintballing, mountaineering, and scuba diving with those guys. It was great!
