Well the deed is done, my Retirement Ceremony was Friday. Now what to do with myself?

My recommendation is to study to earn a STEM Degree or a degree which will lead into Professional Work (e.g. Doctor, Lawyer, etc.) and do something that will both fulfill you and ensure that your bank account remains full.

If you enjoyed Law Enforcement during your Military Career, perhaps application at an ABC Agency (e.g. FBI) would be something to consider? You've a wealth of experience to offer somewhere like that.

Congratulations, now you deserve to do something that makes you really happy, and you can afford to do it with that retirement check coming in, or at least it eases the pressure a bit.
Do not be hesitant about starting a new direction if that is your wish.

You will make the right decision if you follow your intuition!

When I was getting out, not retired just the 4 years, I told myself I wasn't going to shave and I was gonna sleep in. I woke up every day around 5:30 and found myself shaving...every. single. day.
It's been 7 years since I've been out and, while I only shave when I'm going to meet customers, I still wake up early, around 6:30 every day. Even weekends.

If I can give you one word of advice, from a 27 year old with only 4 years active duty experience to a slightly older man with much more experience, it's to go fishing. :D

Short term: sleep in. Go out to breakfast. Read an old school newspaper. Rinse lather repeat for two or three days.
Midterm: tackle two or three time consuming honey-dos.mdrink a beer with lunch.
Long term: find something you LIKE doing for work. Go do that and enjoy it.
