Not just for the 35F MOS, but for your own knowledge base. Do al you can while you are able to: while family free - in your youth - while you have time - for the experience - and above all, your can-do and self confidence! An S-2 in an infantry battalion is not going to be doing the same type of work as someone in a division level intelligence battalion. So your experience may vary.

I'm going to give what may be an unconventional answer to this. If you have not done so before I would take a course in formal logic. Another very useful skill will be in report writing. Taking a business writing class may be very useful. Implying that on me at that time the badges would be just a decoration. I quickly went and saw my CSM (who had a Ranger tab, Air Bourne tab and Special Forces tab along with his jump wings and rows of metals. He asked me why I wanted to leave a shortage MOS that gave bonuses to reenlist and quick promotions. I respectfully pointed at his uniform (kacki's at the time) and said, I want all of that and I can get it here. He smiled and said, "I understand". I got out of that MOS and became a Medic. I don't know if it's still like that now but back in the day on the word of my Platoon Sergeant, it was law. SFC Michael D. Take the numbers and names to your NCOIC to get them into those courses. CPL(P) Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 27 Jun 2019 20:12:33 -0400 2019-06-27T20:12:33-04:00 2019-06-24T22:09:15-04:00
