Fairly difficult. I'm also 11B and E-5 not 6, so it's a bit easier for me. The business rules state there are no openings for E6 whatsoever so I'd guess thu would have to throw a waiver together for grade determination in your MOS. There are always chances (especially now) to DT back in, just depends on what you're willing to come back in AS. (MOS change, rank deduction). Like the rest say, talk to your local recruiter or do what I did and jump around recruiting stations until you find someone that will fight for you. March back into the Army recruiting station and let them know what you want to do (go back on Active duty).
I am assuming you were on active duty at some point, yes? You may or may not have to drop some rank to accomplish this. You will need to bring in all of your previous DD Fm 214s, your conditional release form signed and dated.
You may or may not have to gain a new MOS....I did notice you asked for current recruiters as you should, I have been out of the game for a while now..but I am sure you need your DD Fm 214s and 368 release to get started...Good Luck warrior..! 1SG Brian Adams Mon, 20 Feb 2017 11:31:01 -0500 2017-02-20T11:31:01-05:00 Response by SPC(P) Carlos Santini made Feb 21 at 2017 4:18 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-my-chances-of-re-entering-active-duty?n=2360909&urlhash=2360909

I wish I could go back but I doubt the are willing to take some one with a plate in my lower back, two disc replacements in my neck and on medications. The approval will be up at MEPS, which you will have to go back through in it's entirety (MEPS physical). Your recruiter's job will be to prequalify you and build your enlistment packet. If you are Airborne qualified, chances go up. If you have any major law violations since getting out, I.E. dui, assault, battery, any drug charges, you're out. You need to have a clean discharge (RE3 and RE4 require a waiver and if it's RE4, you might not even want to bother), and renounce any and all disability pay received from the VA. You need to be within the Army age of 34 (subtract your active service time from your actual age and if the number is under 35, you're good to go). You need your DD-214 and they need to pull your FL 142. You need to meet IN SERVICE height and weight requirements. A good ASVAB score helps in case they want to reclass you. You will go through the MEPS physical, sit down with a guidance counselor, they will call someone and it will be a yay or a nay and they will tell you what they can or can't do. If you're in the reserves, you need to be released from your unit to process, which can take some time. if you are released, there's no guarantee you're allowed to join on the active duty side, you're still required to drill, and nothing is promised.
