Both of those will give you the 4-10 points you are looking for. Soldiers here in Korea are required to get a TMP license. if you have one and its been 1 year no accidents you can submit a memo for a drivers badge for a signature from your LTC.

Another Option:

Mechanics Badge;
Google ASE Certification and take the exam that comes close to vehicles you operate (I recommend Heavy Vehicles) if you pass and are certified submit to your S-1 for civilian certifications, and also submit to your motor chief with an excert of AR 600-8-22, and a nicely typed up memo for him to submit up the chain for the mechanics badge. The badge is not, according to regulation a mechanic specific award, read the regs.

Special Badge:

Again look up previously mentioned award and Submit the same memorandum qualifying you for the award (500 Hrs, or 1 yr no accidents whichever is the latter for special operating equiptment) This includes PATRIOT Systems, Generators, ect. If you have logged your Hours and had your PLL input them in the system (and had copies of your 5988Es just in case) you should have 500 Hrs in your 348E. I have and trained my fellow Soldiers on this as well.

These three memorandums are being sent up now to the LTC in my unit for review and signature its not easy but if you have been doing Command Maintenance every monday and made repairs to assigned vehicles (including -10 level) you may have the points it just means you have to show your knowledge on the subject and getting it up the chain.
