They get plenty of applicants who are not non-deployable. Unless you have other factors in your favor that greatly offset your non-deployable status your chances of getting accepted are extremely low. Commissioning is pretty competitive and though you have prior service under your belt it is an entry level portal to the military and carries all of the strict eligibility requirements with that. I would suggest speaking to someone who works as an Officer recruiter to get some insight but you may have an uphill battle in front of you SSgt Christophe Murphy Thu, 28 Jan 2021 08:51:01 -0500 2021-01-28T08:51:01-05:00 Response by MAJ Javier Rivera made Jan 28 at 2021 9:43 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-the-chances-of-being-selected-for-ocs-if-the-service-member-is-non-deployable-medical-condition-but-meets-retention-standards?n=6699665&urlhash=6699665 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Don&#39;t hold your breath, although miracles happen! I know that back in 2018 they cracked down on those who are non-deployable and I believe if one is non-deployable for 12 months, they can be separated. <br /><br />From a 2018 article: &quot;Soldiers who do not meet the standards of the new criteria, or Soldiers who become permanently non-deployable after the date of the new directive, will be considered unqualified to serve in any military branch. Soldiers who remain in non-deployable status because of administrative reasons have six months to meet the requirements or face separation.&quot; SFC Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 28 Jan 2021 09:45:33 -0500 2021-01-28T09:45:33-05:00 Response by Lt Col Jim Coe made Jan 28 at 2021 2:23 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-the-chances-of-being-selected-for-ocs-if-the-service-member-is-non-deployable-medical-condition-but-meets-retention-standards?n=6700489&urlhash=6700489 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If the service member is non-deployable, why would the Service want them to be an officer? Essentially, the Service Member with a permanent profile limiting deplorability is a limited duty officer. They can&#39;t be assigned to most combat MOS because those MOS are in the business of being deployed to fight. Same for many support MOS. IMO, the profile makes an automatic reject for OCS.
