PFC Tyler Rader 4423001 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was discharged from the Army in 2011 after failing to maintain weight standards. After years of drinking, unhealthy eating, and losing my mother to not one but three heart attacks I got my act together, also largely thanks to my own wife and our kids. We recently moved from Dallas to KC for a job. That was back in November. I was 250lbs then. I’m down to 213lbs as of yesterday. I need to get down to at least 165lbs. A goal that I believe is possible by my next birthday, in which I’ll turn 32. That said, what are the odds that I’ll be able to get a waiver to re-enlist once so have the weight off? I’m older and wiser now. I’ve come to terms with the choices I made back then and I want another chance. What are the chances of getting a waiver after receiving a Chapter 18 discharge? 2019-03-05T16:30:35-05:00 PFC Tyler Rader 4423001 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was discharged from the Army in 2011 after failing to maintain weight standards. It&#39;s been a couple of years but the last one I heard about had to bring a letter from his private Doc the pass a PT test and a physical through MEPS Response by PVT Mark Zehner made Mar 5 at 2019 6:27 PM 2019-03-05T18:27:06-05:00 2019-03-05T18:27:06-05:00 MAJ Private RallyPoint Member 4424475 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Also make sure you don&#39;t have an RE4. Keep up the good work - will take lots of running, weight lifting, and discipline with diet! My advice is to go at a reasonable pace, and get good running shoes - it&#39;s important to protect your body and not get injured! If it is RE3, you have a shot. RE4, not so much. First follow through on your life change and then see what happens. Waivers of any kind are hard to come by. All you can do is submit and see what happens. Good luck.
