PO2 Private RallyPoint Member 7274394

I am currently active duty Navy building my Army WOFT packet. I was looking at the past Board results and each cycle there are about none to three sailors out of the about 60 selectees. Does anybody know if there are only about that many available quotas for Navy applicants each cycle, if there just aren't very many Interservice applicants, or if those are the only attractive Interservice applicants? I know I probably shouldn't be worrying about this, but I think it's a valid question. Right now I am studying for the SIFT exam. What are the Interservice WOFT Application/Selection Rates? 2021-09-16T12:43:33-04:00 PO2 Private RallyPoint Member 7274394

I am currently active duty Navy building my Army WOFT packet. So yes, because there just aren't many interservice applicants, but also the board trimming the fat of those they don't consider to be competitive for that cycle.

Truthfully, most people aren't aware that this is even an option because they don't do research and don't work with or around Warrants, so the question never comes up. Outside of Aviation, Warrants are pretty uncommon. Now factor in being in another branch, where you likely know very little about your sister service, don't have a local Warrant Officer Recruiting office, don't receive occasional feeler e-mails and the like to make you aware of the options that exist out there and you simply have uninformed soldiers. I don't imagine the Army is actively engaged on Naval bases trying to recruit sailors either, lol.

Of those that ARE aware, most don't make it past the "Yeah I'm thinking of submitting a packet" thought. I worked with a lot of guys who said just that prior to my getting selected and even after the fact, none have bothered putting a packet together. The packet is designed to weed out those who aren't really motivated.

So don't be dissuaded by what you see, because there are a lot of unknown factors at play.
