The one thing that I have the most dislike for is, that it is mandatory for a person to have health insurance. I do work with a single mom who couldn't afford the company health care because it was expensive. Now she can't afford the ACA health care either because it is too expensive for her also. But yet it is mandatory. I just do not see how it is going to benefit those who are less fortunate if they can not even afford to buy it, since it is mandatory.
Response by SPC Rachel Stubbs made Dec 6 at 2013 10:13 AM 2013-12-06T10:13:23-05:00 2013-12-06T10:13:23-05:00 LTJG Robert M. 16420

I have followed this plan since it came out in 2009. It is performing to design, not failing as the media has reported. The plan, as written, was to launch ACA, destabilize the insurance industry and then implement a single payer government controlled health care system. Affordable in the name was just a marketing strategy.

My personal View.
Response by LTJG Robert M. made Dec 6 at 2013 10:23 AM 2013-12-06T10:23:12-05:00 2013-12-06T10:23:12-05:00 SSgt Private RallyPoint Member 16430

It appears as if a Superpac is helping fund Sen Kay Hagan and this was contrary to what I saw last night, but still the increasing pressure is a good thing because this is bad for America. Granted, they do way more than that with what they make now, but this' gonna be bad for the medical field and all who are affected by it. I'm talking about doctor shortages and over usage in demand. I don't like some of the things in the plan like making a male pay for a policy that covers female birth control. Plans need to be redesigned and adjustable.
Tweek it, and lets see how affective we can make it.
