I personally hope for the same thing in both my superiors, peers, and subordinates: Integrity and Loyalty

Subordinates should be ever-willing to learn and improve, to Be all they can be.

The same applies for those individuals in leadership positions, but they also have the added task of mentoring and sharing their knowledge.

This may sounds too optimistic, but the qualities I have always looks for are centered around the core Army Values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. I was raised as a Boy Scout and have always strived to live by the Scout Law of Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent. Unfortunately I have experienced too many Officers and NCO's who can not adhere to these values. You must stand for something and these values are how I've tried to lead my life and career. Walk the talk. Lead by example. Hopefully, I have had a positive influence upon those that I have associated with and lead.

Compassionate, willing to learn, willing to listen, willing to lead. To have integrity and loyal to, with, and for the SRs, Peers, and subordinates that he/she serves.
