This drill coming up I have to clear supply and my orders for Annual Training has been revoked. Can I get some advice as far fitness concerns and other stuff I may need? NG doesn't have the same personnel to work out administrative issues. Just because you have a UA at the armory doesn't mean they will always have a full time staffer at the medical portion. Some soldiers in NG units I served with were waiting months or even years to get their DD-214. You will have to provide more details of your situation to those you feel have more insights to offer, including perhaps someone in your COC. Using the Connection private messages, emails, etc will give you an opportunity to share details and keep them private at the same time. Best wishes to you in resolving your issue.. This will determine if it goes to MEB or PEB, most likely unless you have 18 years in service you will be medically discharged NOT retired, if it is military related your MAY get a pay out but I do not know anyone that was medically discharged that collected anything extra, medical retirement for the NG is a lot different than for the Active duty. Google Army regulations for medical discharge/retirement and you will find all the answers you need, when I was going through the process it took 5 years and a call to IG before I was actually retired, I had 19 years at that time and chose to medically retire than to fight the system anymore, actually Ii wasnt even fighting I was constantly turning in doctors paperwork and it was getting sent up to the state medical and sat on until it was lost. MEB and PEB are both boards which I believe you have a right to attend and plead your case. You need to research the AR's and make sure you understand them, when I was going through the process I had them downloaded to my phone as well. Here are links to 2 of the regulations you need to learn inside and out. Is it on the PT Test scores? When I was in the guard my units commanders PT standard score was 240. That's 80 points for each of the setups, pushups and the 2 mile run but the Army's standard PT score 180. That's 60 points for each of the setups, pushups and the 2 mile run. If your meeting the Army's standard but not the commander's standard then they have no leg to stand on. I was in the same situation and I put the unit on notice that I'm going to seek legal advice via JAG or the IG. The paper work was destroyed and I was reinstated and finally retired from the guard. Best of luck. If this is a retention issue then it means that you got caught in the QMP, or you have a bar to reenlistment. Either way you COC should have informed you why you no longer meet the standards for retention. Until we know more everything else is speculation. You may have the right to contest the determination. You might have to attend a hearing for peb/meb. Make sure you CO.pare the notice you received to the regulation. I have heard some memos may not provide you all of your rights. Consult the JAG to make sure you have your legal rights.
