Most units will use common sense when transitioning uniform patterns (like it doesn&#39;t really matter if the pattern of the name tape matches the pattern of the TA 50 - why make Joe go buy extra name tapes?) But not every unit treats thes things the same way. The only real thing that isn&#39;t up to unit TACSOP when it comes to wear of TA 50 is they can&#39;t require you to utilize equipment you haven&#39;t neen issued (like requiring an ALICE pack when you have MOLLE gear or requiring your TA 50 match your ACUs even if you were issued a different pattern).
