What do you expect from our next President?

I expect that the next president addresses National Security right away, allow the military to do what it takes to protect the citizens of the US. Do not worry if we offend our enemy, do not worry what other countries think and take care of this country. Bottom line do whatever it takes to fix the USA's problems and help it's citizens.

A lot of rebuilding. Rebuilding of Trust and a more focused approach on working on getting America back to full strength! Probably wishful thinking, but that is my view!

What do I really expect?!! Really not too much considering what we got to choose from. When we have a two party system and both parties are in bed with each other. When most of our elected officials have yet to think of US citizens and the welfare of the country, while filling their own pockets, listening to all the special interest groups, taking money from every foreign government who wants to play ball.

It's sad to say my expectations for our next President is very low, that way I won't be so disappointed!! Same goes for our Congress - when was the last time they thought of us?

I expect leadership in both his domestic and foreign policy responsibilities.

I expect honesty and integrity in all his actions.

I expect him to not only support the military in his role as Commander In Chief, but I expect him to be the role model for the military by his actions and demeanor, to include his patriotism, integrity, selflessness, and commitment to our nation and its security.

In short, I expect him to be "Presidential", something that has been sorely lacking of late.

I expect bad things. Picture is a bit overly dramatic, but it gets the point across.

Honestly...

For me, there is a difference between what I expect from the next President and what I would like from the next president.

What I expect is nothing. I see politicians as nothing but an empty suit. I don't trust them and they only have their best interests in mind.

What I would like is a great, inspirational leader that leads from the front, not from behind. I would like to see a president that seeks to unite instead of incite (see what I did there.. lol). I would like to see a former military commander who knows the challenges of facing down a global terrorism threat and also understands how to stimulate a slow moving economy. Someone who listens and cares about all Americans, not just the one signing his campaign check or the one who cares about his/her voting block and/or his/her party. I would like a president I can look at and say I am proud to say this individual represents me (regardless of party affiliation).

In short, I want a president who leads, unites and fights for everyone.

Since that will never happen, I wont hold my breath.

My hope is that our next president will be someone who wants what is best for the country and works toward that goal in all things (even when it hurts his party and backers). Unfortunately, I expect us to get someone who makes statements like:

- "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is" B Clinton
- "You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on" GW Bush
- " "We're the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad." BH Obama

That depends on who is the next President. If its Hillary, I expect a substandard and an incompetent performance (20150603). I expect her to sit her lazy rear end down and relax while she receives news of our troops are dying on the battle field but continues to chill and take it easy. She is greedy and does not care about the military. She is not Obama 2.0; more like Obama negative 2.0.

Leadership would be a stretch, so how about the ability to get along with Congress and pass meaningful legislation that considers US interests and citizens FIRST and illegal immigrants DEAD LAST.

I'm surprised that anyone who would want the job. Our enemies don't respect us and our allies do not trust us. The first thing is ripping up the Iran nuclear treaty. If Iran doesn't screw it up first.

Set true priorities about what is really important and set about working those priorities.

Rack and stack our issues/problems. Put resources towards the real problems before moving onto other issues (poverty vs. environment, etc.) Its easy to complain about the environment when you're not hungry and your kids are not getting arrested for petty crimes.

Use the Constitution - It is a good document

Critical thinking - The race relations problem should be approached holistically and not just emotionally - Education, promoting family values, deporting Sharpton, etc.
