There are sour cases which make the news but overall I think the TSA performs their jobs admirably considering how many people come and go and the attention to detail they are forced to have for long hours. As far as a lack of common sense in the TSA leadership and the policymakers for the organization *cough DHS *cough. I think some reform and rewriting could definitely be useful.

I am all for full body scanners, as I am not happy with the 1 in a million chance someone sneaks a bomb on my plane. If it could have been stopped by a scanner, ill strip naked every time to support the idea.
SGT Thomas Sullivan Fri, 31 Jan 2014 13:25:28 -0500 2014-01-31T13:25:28-05:00 Response by SFC Stephen P. made Jan 31 at 2014 1:45 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-do-you-think-of-the-tsa-and-how-it-treats-military?n=47957&urlhash=47957

What do I think of how they treat the military? I think it should be handled by the airport.

The lesson we should have learned from 9/11 was that aircraft could be used as targeted weapons to destroy strategic military assets and critical infrastructure. Airplanes simply falling out of the sky, as horrible as it might be, is not a matter of national security.

The appropriate solution was to secure the cockpit doors, and resolve to beat the living snot out of anyone who tries to take over the plane.
SFC Stephen P. I have heard, read, or seen some things that make me question their procedures. Like the time they searched a toddler for contraband or giving the military going overseas a hassle. Plus the recent headlines on them stealing from people is not too surprising when you see works for them. Not all are doing this but you have the ones who take advantage of their roles and commit these acts. They will get caught.
