What does 3rd Brigade Combat Team IN Replacement mean?

So I'm graduating AIT soon. Very soon. And my orders are to airborne, which was in my contract, no problem there, then to the place I wanted to go, 82nd Airborne, 3rd Brigade Combate Team IN Replacement, that's where I'm confused, what's IN replacement, assuming its infantry, what does that mean? Can anyone elaborate please? Any help is appreciated.

It’s just Infantry replacement. Essentially what it means is that they will give you exact orders down to a Battalion once you physically get to Bragg.

You will be okay. Your orders just mean you are going to the brigade replacement depo. From there you'll be assigned to a battalion and then into a company. Once at your company you'll be assigned to a platoon.

I was in the same situation when I went to the 101st. You'll be received into the post replacement unit, which like CPT Sleight said, you'll get your pin point orders when you in-process.

The current structure for DIVs consists of BCTs. Since you are in 3BCT, you'll be in one of the 5-6BNs depending on your MOS, which will consist of HQ, one of the two IN BNs, Support BNs, CAV, or the Field Arty BN.

Hopefully you’ll go to 2-505 best BN in 3rd BCT
