I'm sure it will be echoed a lot as the Army moves to the new uniform.Response by SGT Ben Keen made Aug 13 at 2015 12:16 PM2015-08-13T12:16:25-04:002015-08-13T12:16:25-04:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member887122<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you are CONUS, only the full color flag is authorized for garrison wear. Commanders have discretion for field wear of the uniform if the full color flag represents a risk in terms of camouflage. Same goes for operational deployments and combat deployments.<br /><br />To emphasize, any form of subdued flag is not authorized for garrison use. If a subdued flag is to be used in a field or deployment environment at the commander's discretion, it should be the issued IR reflective flag (technically not available for commercial purchase and only available for issue prior to a deployment but we all know the deal). What is not authorized in any way shape or form is a subdued, non-IR reflective, cloth flag.Response by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 13 at 2015 1:24 PM2015-08-13T13:24:16-04:002015-08-13T13:24:16-04:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member889058<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>the flag should ALWAYS be full color, I hate the subdued one, why does the DoD violate flag codeResponse by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 14 at 2015 8:49 AM2015-08-14T08:49:14-04:002015-08-14T08:49:14-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member4518208<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You still wear the old colored flag.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 5 at 2019 11:01 PM2019-04-05T23:01:15-04:002019-04-05T23:01:15-04:00SSgt Boyd Herrst4876331<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Heck Sir.. you’re an officer, it would seem you’d have the info at your fingertips, Sir, or an assistant that can keep you on top of that !...Response by SSgt Boyd Herrst made Aug 3 at 2019 7:15 AM2019-08-03T07:15:51-04:002019-08-03T07:15:51-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member8678127<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Considering the Army and Space Force are the only ones to wear full color flags, while the Navy and Air Force wear subdued flags. I think the green & black subdued flag looks best on our uniforms, for all around wear.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 26 at 2024 5:54 PM2024-02-26T17:54:56-05:002024-02-26T17:54:56-05:002015-08-13T12:13:41-04:00
