Great Flight Commander and Chief even after my first Flt CC and Chief moved, decent supervisor and great people on the flight. It was in the early 70s, Vietnam was still very active war. We were working 12 on 12 off 6 & 7 days with little or no break but it was the best. Hot weather, ocean breezes, beautiful women and 9000 miles away from the Big BX. Thailand had an effect on me that I still cannot answer. I still thought of the place thirty years after leaving and went for a visit to see how it's like after the war. Thirty-five years after the fact I moved to Thailand. First duty station was a "Isolated" Site. Now long shuttered. As a lower Enlisted, it is where I honed the skills of my MOS and have some very fond memories of individuals I was with. My last Active Duty posting rates equally well as again I had opportunities not afforded Soldiers in line units. It too due to the nature of assignment was considered an isolated tour. And some fantastic experiences also came of it as a Senior NCO at a NATO site in the Balkans it was again unique and rewarding.
