They are made by Wiley X but cater to civilians and look like regular sunglasses. Even though they meet all the military specs and are Z81 tested I don't wear them for any training. I stick with the ESS Crossbows. I think they are pretty solid. You'll look for the best impact protection and strength that's soldier proof. The best I had were the specialized double gradient B&amp;Ls that started out life as an Aviator G-15 and then had extra rim pads to prevent the metal from touching the face. The G-15 lens (polarized letting 15% light pass) were then dipped in a silver plate that was thicker on the top and bottom and thin in the middle. That's what it took to be able to work outside in Antarctica without going light blind. Still have two pair but the prescription is long gone. I do know most non APEL eyepro are expensive. even more so with their specific inserts or prescriptions. so I stick with Revision Sawflys. I personally use Oakley MI or ESS crossbow. The ess are half the price of the Oakley and if you buy them on post they generally come with 2 frames. Sam ballistic protection as their EPEL approved glasses in a nicer package. I have a black pair I wear at work and a purple pair I keep in my car. I had a HMMWV kick a rock up and hit me in them. I'm rob ably saved my eye...oh and they come with clear lenses standard. Generally, arms as thick as what I see on the GATORZ tend are a bit obstructive to the peripheral vision, so I tend not to like them.
