Sorry to hear about your ex. Been married myself since August 2007 with no major regrets. Frankly I DON'T have regrets. They just hold me down and send me into depression spiral which I so desperately try to avoid.

I had to (and still learn to) divert my REACTION to regrets so as to LEARN and STRENGTHEN from. Realizing that everyone made mistakes and has regrets, I don't have to feel sorry or regretful about them.

One of my favorite mottos to live by is reaping what I sow. I try my best to sow good seed. Not always get desired outcome in real life, but learned not to dwell on it for too long.

I recommend you augment your question to say in the lines of how did we learn to cope and overcome those regrets so that it would sound more positive and encouraging. Hooah!

Having children in my 20's. Let me be clear I love my kids and would trade them for anything. I just wish I were more finically stable when I had kids. But I will be 47 when they are out of high school so then I can really party old man style ;).

Should have taken Ranger contract in AIT. But now I am more fit and have a better understanding of the army so it worked out pretty good.

As long as you don't make the same mistake twice it was a lesson not a regret. And just think if you hadn't married her you could have married someone much worse. Who knows you could have ended up with my ex :)

Finishing school before I left, I am happy where I work now, they pay VERY well for my experience, but I could possibly be making MUCH MUCH more with my experience if I had was "edumacated".

My ex died a day after this post. Please don't give me any condolences. I chose not to go to her funeral.
