Will the 35W MOS replace 35M? What is the actual difference between the two? What is the difference between a 35W and a 35M? 2019-01-25T10:58:19-05:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4315336

I have checked both pages on the goarmy website, and the only difference is that a 35W goes to DLI before AIT. It’s an entry MOS. A soldier enters as a 35W. Goes to DLI after BCT. If the soldier successfully completes the language course, he/she will go on to the 35P AIT at Goodfellow AFB.
If the soldier doesn’t successfully complete the course (and remains in good standing), he/she will go on to the 35N AIT at Goodfellow AFB.

They are unrelated to 35M; they are separate jobs. Mike being language dependent is a relatively new thing. You’ll all be in class together, though. Different branches, Officer, enlisted, reclass, IET. It’s an interesting environment.

Best of luck. DLI is a beast.
Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 25 at 2019 1:35 PM 2019-01-25T13:35:54-05:00 2019-01-25T13:35:54-05:00 2019-01-25T10:58:19-05:00
