An AD day is one point. A drill is a point. Various other things are rewarded with points (coursework, funeral duty, etc.) When you transfer to the Retired Reserve (NEVER resign) you stop getting points. Your base pay will be set at your ending grade/TIS (good years) at the rate when you turn 60. You don't resign because the money you get at 60 will be based on the rate the day you resigned. I transferred to the (Fleet Reserve) at 50 so I knew at that point what multiplier will be applied to the base pay. I had to wait 10 years to see the actual number (O6 over 30). CAPT Kevin B.
