To own land in the Philippines you need to be a Citizen or born there. Even businesses you need 52% Filipino stock/ownership majority. I became a Naturalized Citizen so I could serve more than the allotted 8 years for Permanent Resident, but my parents are getting older and need to maintain my ancestral land in the family. Does anyone know how this works? Thank you for any information you can provide. What is the impact on secretly clearances if you carry dual-citizenship?2021-01-31T11:05:32-05:00MSgt Private RallyPoint Member6708488<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was going to ask JAG on my base, but thought I'd ask here too. You have to renounce your other, non- US citizenship to process the SF86. <br /><br />If you already have a clearance and become a dual citizen, you're likely to lose the clearance once it's reported to DOD CAF.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 31 at 2021 12:12 PM2021-01-31T12:12:45-05:002021-01-31T12:12:45-05:00SSG Robert Perrotto6708899<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Unfortunately, You cannot owe allegiance to a second country and hold a security clearance, Dual citizenship establishes this conflict of interest. When my medical condition was going to determine that I would be separated, I informed my S-2 that I would be applying for dual citizenship in Italy, and would be terminating my clearance. You are going to have to make a choice.Response by SSG Robert Perrotto made Jan 31 at 2021 1:46 PM2021-01-31T13:46:40-05:002021-01-31T13:46:40-05:00SFC Melvin Brandenburg6710958<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>bad jujuResponse by SFC Melvin Brandenburg made Feb 1 at 2021 10:58 AM2021-02-01T10:58:51-05:002021-02-01T10:58:51-05:002021-01-31T11:05:32-05:00
