Raising an Army (or drawing down) is enumerated. So in essence, anything directly related to Article 1, Section 8. Those are the most important issue(s). Maybe we should require members of Congress to take the Hippocratic Oath instead of the oath of office. Sadly, I fear that the only hope of preventing them from doing harm is for them to take longer vacations.

Many here seem to want them to start working together. Isn't that what they're already doing? Obviously, their universal intent is to remain in office. That explains why they serve special interests. Big money (unions, corporations, PACS, et al) supply the money needed to mount campaigns. If voters actually cared to elect proper representatives instead of voting for symbols (elephants and donkeys) or identities (race, gender, sexual orientation), all other problems would go away.

Yes, my response does seem jaded, doesn't it? However, I firmly believe that we have the government that we deserve. If we honestly were unhappy with it, we would vote it out, wouldn't we?
