What is the procedure to volunteer for deployment? Can any dentist with deployment share their experiences?

I am an AMEDD officer in the Army Reserve (MOS: 63A, General Dentist). I would like to volunteer for deployment sometime next year.
1. What is the procedure to volunteer for deployment?
2. Can any dentist with deployment share their experience?

Try MOBCOP / TOD. Just do a Google search. But you can only access the site from a DoD computer.
