Those guys did a pretty good job of actually being Soldiers. They spent a week with their military counterparts prior to filming and did a humble job not overacting their parts or making huge factual changes. Sure, there were some factual points missed, but overall they did a great job of showing a military action as it is: dirty, ugly, heartbreaking, awkward, and real... all without making it "Hollywood".

A close second would be We Were Soldiers. Cuba Gooding Jr. did an excellent job in his role, and even with all the other movies I've seen with him, I still see Robert DeNiro as Chief Sunday. A close second would be We Were Soldiers. I feel it very accurately portrays the horror of war and the brotherhood that warfighters share. If I may branch off a little, Band of Brothers deserves some recognition as well. Solid acting, accurate portrayals, and to me the best part was the short monologues at the beginning of each episode.
