Americorps is 20 years old last month, while VISTA is 50 years old as an organization. President Lyndon B. Johnson assigned Mr. Sargent Shriver to head the organization, since he spearheaded the Peace Corps under JFK's leadership.<div><br></div><div>Folks, we have a lot of veterans out here that for some reason under the sun, are having problems adjusting to civilian life. They were great leaders and warriors according to the military values, however many fell into the civil court system with drugs, alcohol, domestic abuse, in/out of psychiatric clinics and jails. </div><div><br></div><div>This is America's reality story toward veterans 2014. There are VISTA positions and  opportunities to help these struggling veterans.
