This is going to be a great resource for RP users and I hope everyone can get something out of it to help their units, the Soldiers and the families. The organization that is near to my heart came in handy after a particularly tough deployment it is the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS). I've spent some time volunteering with them and I can attest to the true meaning of resiliency in some of the kids. I encourage you to take a look at this worthwhile program, they do a tremendous job for our families of the fallen.

I joined the Americorps VISTA non-profit organization with Corporation of National Community Service. Americorps is 20 years old last month, while VISTA is 50 years old as an organization. President Lyndon B. Johnson assigned Mr. Sargent Shriver to head the organization, since he spearheaded the Peace Corps under JFK's leadership.

Folks, we have a lot of veterans out here that for some reason under the sun, are having problems adjusting to civilian life. They were great leaders and warriors according to the military values, however many fell into the civil court system with drugs, alcohol, domestic abuse, in/out of psychiatric clinics and jails.

This is America's reality story toward veterans 2014. There are VISTA positions and opportunities to help these struggling veterans. Check it out, we are nationwide with various programs to meet the needs of veterans whether they be American citizens and/or peoples of America.

Heroes in Action is spearheaded by
Firefighters and Air Force Veterans. We are different in that in addition to
our programs that provide equipment and training to public safety agencies.
Many of our fundraisers not only aid our causes but support non-profit organizations
that provide other resources to police, firefighters and veterans. While we
obviously need funds to meet our goals, we want to act as a conduit to aid

My former team at Pacific Scientific is partnering with 'Cell Phones for Soldiers' to connect military families with gently used mobile devices. Thought I would put it out there in case anyone might be interested in the cause and joining up with this non profit. I think it's a great initiative!
