What is your favorite military meal?

I sure am missing some S.O.S. right now. If anyone has a great recipe, be sure to share.

Some folks hate the S.O.S. not sure they were bred for the military service.

When I did my OSUT at Ft. McClellan, AL chicken cordon blue seemed to come up on the menu on a regular basis. Good and greasy the way the DFAC prepared it.

Found the recipe: 1 pound ground beef 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1 cube beef bouillon 3/4 teaspoon salt 1 pinch ground black pepper 2 1/4 cups milk 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Salt to taste.

I'm fond of breakfast. I love me a good ham and cheese omelette and some biscuit and gravy even from the DFAC.

Both of my favorites are breakfast. In addition to SOS, I would put my over easy fried eggs on top my french toast and have grits on the side.

This is the recipe I use:
Military SOS
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
2 Tablespoon butter
1/4 cup flour, all purpose
1 cube beef bouillon
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper (or to taste)
2 1/4 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
How to make it
Brown beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking up the meat as it cooks. Drain excess fat and set beef aside.
Melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
Slowly add the flour, stirring constantly, to form a brown roux.
Add the bouillon.
Gradually stir in the milk and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well.
Add the cooked ground beef, salt, and pepper.
Bring all to a simmer, stirring constantly. Serve hot over buttered toast.
