Blackhawk! I know they got started by some ex-military guys. Navy if I have my facts right. They make the best backpacks I've ever been issued. Most of their gear is extra durable and mission effective. This is an unsolicited endorsement. :D LOL

I am going to have to go with RallyPoint. Without it we wouldn't even be here talking about this. It is a great resource for current and service members to reach out to another and seek guidance. I can say that I have learned a lot from the members on RallyPoint so far and I hope I have affected others here in a positive way.

I love a lot of the businesses already mentioned. A recent favorite is FeedMeFightMe.com

10% of each purchase goes towards veteran homelessness, addiction, and PTSD aid. It's a relatively new company started by a Marine veteran in early 2015. They sell apparel and coffee. Can't vouch for the coffee, but the blends of fabric for the apparel is top notch.

Quite honestly, I couldn't say. I don't judge businesses by who owns them but by how well they conduct their business. Sometimes I find out that the owner (or owners) of a well-run business is a veteran, but that's only sometimes.
