My favorite all time small arms weapon is the one I earned the Washington state 1,000 open sight shooting title with. My Remington 700 BDL Custom Deluxe in .308 It was a tack driver in the 1970&#39;s and it&#39;s a tack driver today. While it may not have the rate of fire of modern weapons, I can hit and kill with that weapon consistently out to 1,000 yards, (well maybe not now). I&#39;m 60 and my eyes are not what they use to be, but back in the 70&#39;s, 80&#39;s and 90&#39;s it took everything from coyotes to Colorado Elk. <br /><br />My favorite pistol is the 1911 in .45 ACP. I&#39;ve shot the .45 my entire life and I have 10-1911 45&#39;s. Over 50 years old in service and we are still employing the same standard issue rifle, and for good reasons.
