From the MRE standpoint it depended on what you got and over the years they continued to improve them. Most MREs came with Chiclet gum though some people claimed it to be Ex-lax, cheese spread or peanut butter, crackers, a small condiment pouch of salt, pepper, hot sauce, napkin. SGT Jim Z.
