I don&#39;t think anyone MOS really &quot;translates&quot; to a civilian job. It&#39;s how much effort you put into finding a job - like the effort you put in a resume and finding contacts. Or utilizing some of your NCOs or former NCOs as contacts. Example - I&#39;m still in contact with my first CSM and he&#39;s retired. I&#39;m sure if I needed help with a reference or contact he&#39;d help me out. Majority of employers will appreciate your military service and most are always seeking honorably discharged veterans with the appropriate skills sets, Also if you have a strong work ethic don&#39;t be afraid to accept an entry level position with organizations that offer organization specific professional development and advancement opportunities. A competent network or data administrator has a good deal of experience that can benefit the IT world. Whenever one of my data/networking Marines get out, I don’t have to worry about them getting set up with a job. They usually have multiple offers 6-9 months before they EAS, if they want to stay in that line of work. Intel opens a lot of doors if you have a Top Secret clearance no matter the rank. Supply and logistics may require you to be a SNCO or higher to have the kind of experience civilian companies are looking for. ATC is another good one, their school house certifies them through the FAA. 1stLt Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 12 Mar 2020 22:51:00 -0400 2020-03-12T22:51:00-04:00 Response by SPC Lyle Montgomery made Sep 12 at 2021 3:24 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-mos-do-you-feel-helps-to-transition-from-military-life-to-civilian-life?n=7263506&urlhash=7263506 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Certanly not 11 bravo.
