What repercussions do you foresee if this US airstrike on Doctors Without Borders is validated?

Twelve local staff members of Doctors Without Borders and at least seven patients, three of them children, were killed after an explosion near their hospital in the northern Afghan city of Kunduz that may have been caused by a mistaken U.S. airstrike.
In a statement, the international charity said the "sustained bombing" took place Saturday at 2:10 a.m local time. Afghan forces backed by U.S. airstrikes have been fighting to dislodge Taliban insurgents who overran Kunduz on Monday.
At least 37 other people were seriously injured--19 staff members and 18 patients and caretakers, the organization said. Dozens were missing, raising concerns the death toll could rise.

Don't think it was intentional on our part. And it is not like the Taliban do not use hospitals, schools and similar places for their own purposes.

The repercussions will depend on who called the air strike. If it is our guys, heads and careers will roll. If it was Afghan's we were in support of, heads will still likely roll but maybe not as many.

There hasn't been enough information released yet to really no how this will go. If we do find that it was Afghans calling this is then it will bring into question the idea of Air support to indigenous forces without our forces on the ground.
