What’s going to happen when I go to meps and my weight and BMI are too high?

So I have to go back to meps in two days before I ship out to AIT to get height and weight and test for covid. I know for a fact that I’m overweight and my BMI is too high. What’s going to happen when I go?

You need to call your recruiter like last week. 19 lbs? That’s going to take at least 2 months of hardcore dieting and cardio to drop that weight! You need to let your recruiter know now. If you show up and bust tape (I am always taped) then they use a formula to determine how many weeks must lapse for you to safely lose the weight to make tape and you can’t go back until then.

Now when you say 19 lbs over do you mean 19 lbs over your max weight for your height or 19 lbs beyond where you were when you made tape last time? That also makes a huge difference.

They will not let you ship. Talk to your recruiter and let him or her know. Make a plan to get into shape
