What’s the whole process on switching from Army National Guard to Active Duty? Any advice on the process? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-s-the-whole-process-on-switching-from-army-national-guard-to-active-duty-any-advice-on-the-process

I know about the DD368 conditional release paperwork. I’m just wondering how the whole process would work or if anyone has gone through it before. I’ve also heard about some Air Defense Battalions getting stood up so if that would effect it? Still early in the research phase. Tue, 15 Jan 2019 14:41:05 -0500 What’s the whole process on switching from Army National Guard to Active Duty? There are a lot of experts here that will give good advice.
I'm just curious if you would have to give up your commission in the national guard before you apply for active duty. HRC publishes it once a year or so, and it outlines the stipulations/requirements to come to Active status. Call/email your branch manager to get more info. I worked for usarec as a cw3. Logistics chief. Transportation officer was gay. He retired as a major. Good enough.
